Kontur- och volymmätning av långa produkter IMS har vidareutvecklat sitt välbeprövade LasCon-system för att möjliggöra konturmätning av långa produkter. I det nya systemet samkör man ett antal laser- och kameraenheter för att skapa en komplett 3D-bild av ett gjutet billet eller bloom direkt efter gjutning men före kapning. Utvärderingen av 3D-bilden möjliggör en snabb processjustering för att undvika eventuella gjutdefekter samt att kalkylera ämnets geometri och vikt i förhållande till ”target”. Den exakta volym- och viktberäkningen utvärderas av IMS-systemet och ger relevant indata till ämneskapen för att optimera ämneslängden.
